Production Incubator

6 sessions · Wednesdays · 1hr each

Your lab for turning a song into a finished production

An incubator is your lab — where you put what you learn in class to work on real material, with feedback from rotating instructors and your peers. But it’s also a forcing function: you can’t mix a track you haven’t produced. So bring the draft you started (in class or the Songwriting Incubator), and the goal is momentum — leave with a production complete enough to push into the Mix Incubator.

It’s context-based instruction: you’ll see a variety of instructors week to week, and usually one or two of you present your work. The puzzles we solve are universally useful, so come whether or not you’re presenting — your feedback is valuable.

Prerequisites: Basic production fundamentals — a DAW you're comfortable in and a track in progress. If you're earlier than that, start with the Songwriting Incubator or a Core class.

What's a residency?

Non-residents can take any class — residency months are bundled into the price. If you're already a resident, check the box above and you'll see the lower class-only price.

Nathan is one of the great few teachers that care. As a graduate of a prestigious music school, I was whisked through a massive amount of knowledge, with many teachers. None of them stood up to parr as Nathan does, simply due to the quality and dedication he takes into account when explaining even the simplest of concepts. Amazing.
