chorDLE (our ear-training game, on the web and in the App Store and Google Play apps)
What the game keeps, and why:
- Who you are. If you play as a guest, the game makes a random ID on your device. If you sign in with Discord, Apple or Google, we keep that account’s ID and the display name it gives us. We do not receive or keep your email address or password.
- Your name on the boards. The leaderboard name you choose is public. Names that look like an email address or phone number are refused.
- How you play. Your scores and points, which answers you gave and whether they were right, your levels, streaks and how long each game took. This runs the game, the leaderboards and your progress, and helps us tune difficulty.
- Who is playing now. While the game is open we note that you are online and which game you are in, so other players can see you in “Right Now”.
- Friends. If you add friends: who you are friends with, friend requests and game invites, the reactions you send (like 🔥), who you have blocked, and your notification settings.
- Voice commands (optional). Speech is recognised by Apple’s speech recognition, on your device where it supports it and otherwise by Apple. We never receive or keep the audio. We may log the words that were recognised, to improve voice commands.
- Diagnostics. Technical details such as device type, app version, sound settings and errors, and anything you send with “Report a problem”.
We do not show ads, sell your data, or share it with anyone except the services that run the game (our hosting and database providers, and the sign-in provider you choose).
Deleting your chorDLE data. In the game, open Settings and choose 🗑️ Delete my chorDLE data. This deletes your scores, play history, presence, friend connections, friend requests and invites to or from you, your notification settings, the blocks you made, the links between your devices and your account, and your diagnostic logs and reports. Blocks that other players made against you are kept, because they belong to them. Deleting game data does not delete your Discord, Apple or Google account, which we do not control. To ask us to delete anything else, email apps@beatkitchen.io.

chorDLE
This section covers chorDLE! — Ear Training Game, published by Beat Kitchen LLC, on Google Play, the App Store and the web.
What chorDLE collects
- A display name you choose, shown on the shared leaderboard. Optional.
- An account identifier from Discord, Google or Apple — only if you sign in. chorDLE never receives or stores your password for those services.
- Your scores, progress and gameplay statistics.
chorDLE does not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, messages, financial or health information. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, and your data is never sold or shared with third parties. All data is encrypted in transit.
How to delete your chorDLE data
- Open chorDLE! — Ear Training Game.
- Open Settings (the gear icon, top right).
- Choose 🗑️ Delete my chorDLE data.
- Confirm by tapping Delete my data.
Deletion is immediate. You do not need an account — if you played as a guest, this deletes that device’s data. If you cannot open the app, email apps@beatkitchen.io with the display name you played under, or the account you signed in with, and we will delete it and confirm by reply.
What is deleted
Your scores, play history and gameplay statistics, and your presence record (the “who is online” entry).
What is kept
- Your Discord, Google or Apple account. Deleting game data does not delete those. Signing in only identifies you to the game; we do not control those accounts.
- Friend connections, blocks and notification settings are not yet removed by the in-app control. Email apps@beatkitchen.io and we will remove them for you.
- Blocks that other players made against you, because they belong to them — deleting your own data must not let you get around someone else’s block.
- Anonymous, aggregated counts that cannot identify you, such as the total number of games played on a given day.
Retention
Deletion is permanent and deleted records are not recoverable. No backup copy is kept beyond routine database backups, which age out within 30 days.
