Here’s a diagram I made for class a while ago. Feel free to use it (kindly leave our logo on it). It doesn’t really matter if you’re using Logic Pro or not. The concept applies not just to every major platform like Ableton Live, ProTools, Cubase, FL Studio, etc. but also to the analog world. This is stuff that I think pretty much every producer should make a priority to understand. Signal flow is the life blood of music production. It is the means by which we meet unexpected problems with creative solutions. Don’t worry about if it’s called a send, a bus, a return, or an aux.
